This is a very new project for me, in that it’s just solo piano and it’s not meant to be headphone music. Just the opposite; it’s meant to be played on inadequate speakers... a phone, a car stereo, or anywhere where it’s not pressed against your ears, where it’s allowed to emerge from the speakers and explore the space. I think it’s best for it to be somewhere between background and foreground... intraground?
I imagine someone, alone or with another person, baking or reading or watching snow fall and just listening and allowing themselves to get a little lost.
